Moose huntingStatskog SOE has hunting grounds in most counties having moose hunting (except Finnmark). The hunting grounds are along the coast, in forests and in mountains, below and above timberline. Hunters may choose hunting grounds that are near roads or that require several hours of hiking.
Deer huntingStatskog offers deer hunting in several places in southern Norway. Deer hunting is exciting. It requires greater caution and patience than moose hunting, as deer are shyer and fear people more.
Wild reindeer huntingStatskog offers reindeer hunting for individuals and for hunting parties, including cabin rental. Moreover, we offer hunting training.
Big game hunting is subject to an administrative arrangement in which hunters must apply for access to hunting rights offered by Statskog. All hunting rights are administered via the Internet, with the hunting party leader as the contact.
Persons not resident in Norway cannot be hunting party leaders, but can be members of hunting parties led by leaders who are Norwegian citizens or have been resident in Norway the previous year.
