Politioddhytta is a simple cabin at the innermost end of Altevatn lake, a popular hunting and fishing area in Bardu municipality.
Details
The cabin is basic. You can get to it by boat or on foot in summer or by snowmobile or on foot in winter.
Driving directions
From Setermoen and the E6 highway, it’s about 39 km on a road to a car park at Atlevatn lake. From the end of the road and the car park, it’s about 45 km to the cabin. In summer, it’s easiest to get to the cabin by boat. A conveyance boat can be rented.
In winter an exemption may be granted for snowmobile transport to the cabin.
